A Valuable Experience
After two days at my first Nationwide tournament, I had a “very colourful” scorecard, to quote my mother. I was among the top five players for birdies and bogeys. Not a good combination!
I’m working on figuring out what happened. I want to use the lessons for the next Nationwide. The course was different from those I’ve been playing on since January: longer yardage, longer roughs and faster greens. I made way too many mistakes out there.
I feel I belong though. It was great to see guys from my college days and summers as an amateur. The next time I’ll be there the whole time---that’s my goal.
