A Small Step Forward

I’ve tried to get into the US Open a couple of times. But, I never got past the local try outs. Last year I was an alternate. This time I made it.

I hit the ball pretty well. Made a few putts and felt comfortable all day. When I made 64, someone told me I’d tied the course record. But, I found out later that Fred Couples had a 63 in a Honda Classic a few years ago at the Weston Hills Country Club, Weston, Florida where I was yesterday.

Next is the sectional in Columbus, Ohio. No matter what, it’s a great experience.
