Preparing for 2007

I’m getting ready for my second year as a professional golfer. I had a strong first year.

In 2007, I want to improve my control and consistency. I competed with so many top players and learned more about what it’s going to take to get to the PGA. It’s not just about thinking smart on the golf course. I’ve got to prepare myself better in the way I practice and what I practice.

To help me improve my game, I am building a coaching team around me. I continue to look to my coach, since I was 13 years old, Steve Chapman. He’s a pro at Glen Abbey in Oakville, Ontario, Canada. Sean Foley, in Orlando, Florida, is proving to be great when I can’t get back to see Steve. This week I spent two days with a putting coach who works with top players on the PGA. The feedback was just what I needed. I’ve got some work to do on my timing and acceleration.

Now, my main goal is to practice, practice, practice before the start of the season in January.

Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
